Speaking
Presence is physical.
The same work, for anyone who has to speak.
You know your subject, and you have earned your place in front of the audience. Under pressure, though, the breath shortens and the body braces, and the voice loses the ease that would carry it. The work at the centre of Breath & Voice — alignment, breath, and the nervous system beneath them — frees the speaking voice as it frees the singing one. What returns is presence: a voice that steadies, carries, and holds a listener.
This work has been done with speakers preparing for a job interview, and with politicians before they took the podium — always in person, always the same three pillars.
